About the Forum
A successfully designed hotel can not only bring pleasant stay experience to guests, but also become a city’s business card. Every designer wants to create unique hotel space with their understanding, accumulated experience and innovation in hotel space, geographical features, recreation mode, and the history and culture. Nowadays hotel design is drawing increasing attention. Designers and hotel management professionals are seeking breakthroughs in contemporary hotel design in China.
On Nov. 2, 2018, REARD will align with FBC once again to host 2018REARD Architecture Forum- Design Innovations and Culture for Contemporary Hotel. The one-day event will highlight contemporary hotel design innovations and culture and designers of upper-class and deluxe hotels and home stays will be invited and share their observations of contemporary hotel design practices in China, in a bid to explore design innovations and culture for contemporary hotel that are fit for China.

Recap of the Last Event
The last forum took place at Shanghai New International Expo Centre on Nov. 7, 2017. It highlighted the theme, “Dialogue on Design-Breakthrough and Innovation of Deluxe Hotels”. More than 200 experts in architectural design, interior design and project development, among other fields, were invited. Eduardo Lopez, Senior VP of The Jerde Partnership , Cao Bin, VP of CallisonRTKL, Rong Junqiang, Chief Architect at Pan Pacific Design Group Limited (Canada), Liu Hailing, Vice Director of Hotel Design, Shanghai Shimao Hotel Management Co., Ltd, Li Jing, Associate Chief Architect (Partner), Lacime Architectural Design, and Shen Ying, Associate Chief Architect, TONTSEN, among other hotel owners and designers, shared latest case studies and insightful views of hotel design face to face and inspired the audience on hotel design trends. The speakers had exciting sharing with frequent rounds of applauses from a full house.
